Foot Ferry FAQs

Q: Are the Foot Ferries wheelchair accessible?

A: Most of Kitsap Transit's Foot Ferries are wheelchair accessible. The crew will lay down a ramp to allow wheeled boarding. In the event of a mechanical problem with one of our larger foot ferries, smaller ferries are brought in to run the service. These smaller boats are not wheelchair accessible.

Q: What does it cost to ride the Foot Ferry?

A: The fare for the Foot Ferry is the same as for Kitsap Transit routed buses - $2.00 one-way full cash fare or $1.00 one-way reduced fare for eligible riders. Fares are payable with cash, a one-way ticket, or a monthly pass or E-purse loaded on an ORCA card. ORCA users receive a free two hour transfer to connect to other buses of the Foot Ferry. Cash riders can request a paper transfer when they board to connect to a bus in Bremerton, Port Orchard or Annapolis.

Q: Can I use a credit card to pay my fare for the Annapolis and Port Orchard foot ferries?

A: One-way tickets can be purchased with a Visa or Mastercard from the Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) located in the upper waiting area of the Bremerton dock. We recommend purchasing two tickets if you are making a roundtrip. Tickets cannot be purchased with credit cards in Annapolis or Port Orchard. You may purchase Adult full-fare tickets or reduced-fare tickets (valid only when used with your reduced fare ID). Tickets are valid within 60 days of purchase.
