NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that proposals will be received via email by Kitsap Transit NO LATER THAN 2:00 P.M. June 26, 2023 June 22, 2023 and must be addressed as:

The work consists of manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and warranty of forty (40) Hanover destination signs for transit coaches. These Hanover signs will replace obsolete equipment currently installed on seventeen (17) Gillig Phantoms and twenty-three (23) 2003 & 2004 Gillig buses.

Kitsap Transit is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide a software solution to manage Kitsap Transit’s On-Demand services. It is anticipated that there will be a phased implementation beginning September 2023. Vendors are to provide a software solution only; Kitsap Transit will provide drivers.

Small Works and Consultant Roster Application

Kitsap Transit maintains our Small Public Works Roster and Consultant Roster in MRSC Rosters online database.  Businesses interested in working with Kitsap Transit on projects using a roster contracting process must register at www.mrscrosters.org and select Kitsap Transit in their application.

Federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program

Kitsap Transit has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26.  Kitsap Transit has received Federal financial assistance from the Department of Transportation, and as a condition of receiving this assistance, Kitsap Transit has signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26.

It is the policy of Kitsap Transit to ensure that DBE’s defined in part 26, have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in DOT–assisted contracts.  It is also our policy:

  1. To ensure nondiscrimination in the award and administration of DOT-assisted contracts;
  2. To create a level playing field on which DBE’s can compete fairly for DOT-assisted contracts;
  3. To ensure that the DBE Program complies with applicable laws;
  4. To ensure that only firms that fully meet 49 CFR Part 26 eligibility standards are permitted to participate in the DBE Program;
  5. To help remove barriers to the participation of DBE’s in DOT assisted contracts;
  6.  To assist the development of firms that can compete successfully in the market place outside the DBE Program.

KITSAP TRANSIT DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE GOAL

(Federal Fiscal Years 2021-2023)

Kitsap Transit’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for fiscal years 2021 through 2023 is two point nine two percent (2.92%) DBE participation in Kitsap Transit federally funded contracting activities. The intent of the goal is to promote an environment of equal opportunity for local, certified DBEs to participate in Kitsap Transit’s federally funded contracting activities. The goal is an aspirational goal representative of the number of ready, willing, able and certified DBEs in the local market.
