Routes 212, 215, 217, 221, 224, 225, 226, 229 & 301 – Detours
Roundabout Project Update
Effective July 8 through the end of July 2024
Starting on Monday, July 8, Routes 221–Perry Avenue, 225–Sheridan Park and 229–Trenton will be on detour during this next construction phase due to the one-lane road closure on Washington Avenue between Sixth Street and the Manette Bridge. This detour is expected to last through the end of July. Kitsap Transit will issue a new alert when the detour changes.
Routes 221, 225 and 229 will travel south on Washington Avenue to the Bremerton Transportation Center (BTC). Trips departing BTC will travel Washington Avenue, Sixth Street, Pacific Avenue and 11th Street back to their regular route.
Routes 212–Bremerton/Silverdale West, 215–McWilliams, 217–Bremerton/Silverdale East, 224–Olympic College, 226–Bay Vista and 301–North Kitsap Fast Ferry will remain on their current detours and not travel Washington Avenue north of Sixth Street or 11th Street east of Pacific Avenue.
Routes 212, 215 and 217 will travel Washington Avenue, Sixth Street and Pacific Avenue back to their regular route.
Route 224 will travel Washington Avenue, Sixth Street and Pacific Avenue back to its normal route. Trips returning to the BTC will continue on Pacific Avenue to BTC.
Route 226 will travel Washington Avenue and Sixth Street to its normal route. Trips returning to BTC will travel Warren Avenue and Burwell Street to BTC.
Route 301 will travel Washington Avenue, Burwell Street and Warren Avenue back to its regular route.
The northbound bus stop on Washington Avenue between the Manette Bridge and 6th Street will be closed. See map for details.
