Expect Traffic Delays On SR 305 Up to 30 Minutes This Week

Starting Tuesday, Dec. 17, and continuing through Thursday, a stretch of State Route 305 just north of Totten Road in Suquamish will be closed in both directions for up to 30 minutes three times a day, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)

Workers are constructing a 239-foot-long steel girder bridge over Sam Snyder Creek as part of a project to remove fish barriers.

WSDOT anticipates traffic delays of up to 30 minutes at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 1:00 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. WSDOT also plans to briefly hold traffic from 4:00 AM to 5:00 AM as they bring the girders into the work zone.

This road closure will delay Route 390-Poulsbo/Bainbridge and impact the service's ability to make connections at the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal and the North Viking Transit Center in Poulsbo. The closure could slightly impact the first trip of the Route 333-Silverdale/Bainbridge.

The road closure may also impact ACCESS trips if buses have to travel through the affected stretch of SR 305. If you have concerns, please call 360.479.7272 to talk with ACCESS Customer Service.

Transfer connections cannot be guaranteed. Those needing to make connections are encouraged to adjust their travel plans accordingly.

For those traveling by ferry to downtown Seattle, consider taking the Kingston Fast Ferry from Kingston Ferry Terminal.
