ADVISORY: No live bus tracking, visit Extreme Weather Dashboard for bus information during snow events
At the end of 2024, Kitsap Transit had to shut down its live bus tracker, DoubleMap, when the vendor ended support for the app.
If you're using Kitsap Transit to get around during a snow event, it's critical that you sign up for email alerts and check our Snow & Extreme Weather dashboard throughout the day until we're able to restore live bus tracking.
Some key tips to keep in mind:
- Our dashboard links to Snow Routes and Kitsap Transit’s Emergency Service page, which is useful for checking which bus stops and routes will be served during inclement weather.
- Email alerts are sent out in the hour leading up to changes to bus service at 9:00 AM, Noon, 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 and 2:00 PM on weekends.
- Riders can also call our Customer Service Office. Our CSO representatives currently also do not have real-time locations of our buses, so they must communicate with our busy dispatchers to obtain bus information that they can relay to customers over the phone.
