7 PM Snow Service Update for Tuesday, Feb. 4 and Start of Service Wednesday, Feb. 5
EXTREME WEATHER BULLETIN

Starting at 7 PM, most routed services will resume regular routes for the rest of the evening. Service that is currently canceled will remain canceled. See below for details.

Stay up to date: If we need to make changes to a bus route, we will update its status on our Snow & Extreme Weather webpage

If you are experiencing technical issues viewing the Snow & Extreme Weather page on your mobile phone, you can use these direct links to access our dashboards: Current Service Status and Next Service Change

You can view the most current Rider Alerts on our Rider Alerts page.

7 PM Service Change Tuesday, Feb. 4

  • Routes 81, 85, 184, 215, 219, and 222 will remain canceled through the end of service.
  • Kingston Ride Fast Ferry Commuter and Southworth Ride Fast Ferry Commuter remain canceled.
  • All other Routes will operate regular routes through the end of service.
  • ACCESS will operate normal service but buses may be unable to serve some areas depending on road conditions. Contact ACCESS at 1-800-422-2877 to reschedule or check the status of your trip.

Start of Service Wednesday, Feb. 5

  • All Routed Bus services will start service on Snow route, except for Routes 215 and 222, which are canceled.
  • All On-Demand Dial-a-Ride services will be canceled.
  • ACCESS will operate Snow Routes but buses may be unable to serve some areas depending on road conditions. Contact ACCESS at 1-800-422-2877 to reschedule or check the status of your trip.
  • The Silverdale Transit Center will be closed when service starts tomorrow. Kitsap Transit will use the Kitsap Mall parking lot south of WinCo along Kitsap Mall Boulevard for pickup and drop-off until we can resume service to the transit center.

Kitsap Transit Fast Ferries and Local Foot Ferries will continue to operate normal schedules unless high winds or unsafe conditions at a dock force us to cancel sailings.

If we make changes to service, they will occur at 9 AM, Noon, 3 PM and 7 PM on weekdays and 10 AM and 2 PM on weekends. We plan to issue a Rider Alert about 45 minutes before each service change. If we are not making changes to service in the next interval, we may not issue a rider alert or update for that interval.

Kitsap Transit encourages riders to take precautions and be prepared:

  • If your stop is on a hill, please walk to a stop on flat ground.
  • Give yourself plenty of time to get to the bus stop in the snow. Your bus stop may be late during inclement weather, so dress warmly and please be patient.
  • The floor of the bus or ferry may be slippery. Please use caution.

We prioritize the safety of our passengers and employees. Thank you for your patience. Stay safe out there!
